Ruth George MP visits Avanti Conveyors in Furness Vale

There was time for a tour of the offices and manufacturing facilities and an introduction to the new Pegasus palletiser, which has been designed and manufactured locally.

Simon Mander, Managing Director at Avanti Conveyors, commented “It was beneficial to be able to share our business goals with our local MP and have some direct discussion about some of the issues we face.”

It was a great opportunity for Avanti Conveyors to discuss their growth plans and share their desire to secure the business and jobs in the local New Mills and Chapel-en-le-Frith area. Avanti Conveyors are currently searching for a new factory and the High Peak MP was keen to offer assistance in the search.

Brexit was also a topic for discussion. “We need the status-quo as that is what works for business” said Andy Liles, Finance Director at Avanti Conveyors. “We are an expanding company with a number of open job vacancies and we need stability to support our future growth.”
